An Access Database Project (ADP) file is an Access database file, which provides local access to MS SQL Server through an application programming interface named OLE DB. OLE DB is a set of interfaces that provides access to different type of data sources - spreadsheets, flat files, relational data and mail files - stored in a uniform manner. An ADP file only contains HTML-based or code-based database components such as, forms, macros, reports, location of the access page, name of the access page and modules. These are the database components, which are used to create a client/server application.

The working of ADP is similar to the working of an Access database because the user creates the database components in the same manner as he creates in an Access database. The user can easily view, create, modify and delete the database components by using Query Designer, Query Builder, Database Designer, Table Designer and SQL Text Editor after connecting to an SQL Server database. Another similarity between an Access database and an ADP is that the ADP contains most of the wizards as an Access database. These wizards are Form Wizard, the Report Wizard, the Page Wizard, and the Input Mask Wizard.

ADP can be corrupted due to application malfunctioning, operating system corruption, virus infection and more. Once the ADP is corrupted, the forms, reports, macros and modules saved in the ADP are also corrupted. To successfully repair the ADP files, the user needs to use an effective third party tool named Access Recovery software.

Stellar Information Systems Limited provides the best Access Recovery utility named - Stellar Phoenix Access Recovery Software. This is a power recovery application, which incorporates advanced scanning algorithm to ensure complete Access database Repair in all ADP corruption scenarios.
